A business plan can be for internal or external use, but in most cases a business plan signifies some significant change in a business. We all should have a business plan to help guide our business and allow us a way to measure our success against our plans, so they can be adjusted if needed as the business grows.
A business plan can add clarity to your business. Though you may have your your business strategy in your head, putting your strategies on paper provides consistency and allows you to communicate your strategy more clearly to other stakeholders.

Many business owners struggle with the thought of doing a business plan and are not sure where to start. The process to develop a business plan is as important as the plan itself. The business plan will provide process alignment of resources (money, people, capital), within an organization to achieve a single goal. You will identify areas within your business that are and are not core to your success.
RK Fischer & Associates has developed fixed price consulting engagements to address the requirements and budgets of the small business owner. They are controlled engagements that are defined by time, deliverables and costs which provides predictability of expenditures and the outcome of the engagement.
Individual Engagements
Business Plan Development
The development of a business plan assumes that you need help in defining what is required for your business to be included in a business plan. This engagement provides the business owner or stakeholders with help in determining what is left undefined and needs to be in order to present a complete plan to someone financing, buying, or merging with your business. If you cannot answer all of the questions required to develop a business plan, then this engagement will help you.
Includes
- Interview Sessions with business owner and staff to define all of your business requirements for the plan
- Development and Writing of Business Plan in provided format.
- Development of Summary PowerPoint presentation for client to use for presentations
- Includes 1 revision of the business plan.
Note: Any additional changes or revisions will be at a per diem rate per hour past the 1st revision.
Business Plan Writing
This engagement assumes that the business owner and stakeholders have all of the information needed to write their business plan. They will be provided with a questionnaire that will help them fill in the information they need to write the plan.
Includes
- Business Plan Questionnaire to be completed by client prior to the writing of the plan.
- Interview session on phone with business owner of primary stakeholder to clarify answers.
- Writing Business Plan in provided format.
- Includes 1 revision of the business plan
Note: Any additional changes or revisions will be at a per diem rate per hour past the 1st revision.
Business Plan Facilitation
A facilitation workshop with the business owner and key stakeholders to develop requirements for their business plan and develop and action plan for completion.
Includes
- Interview session with business owner to set objectives
- 2 day working session with RK Fischer & Associates facilitator
- Detailed summary report of facilitation event and action plan
Business Plan Assessment
The assessment of a current business plan and recommendations that should be implemented.
Includes
- Review of current business plan
- Detailed report of recommendations required for the plan in order to be considered for funding.
Note: This does not include making any of the changes. If the client wishes the changes to be made this will be provided through a fixed priced quote based on the amount of work required
